October at Khaltsha Cycles wasn’t just about transport—it was about movement, momentum, and magic on two wheels. To wrap up Transport Month, we had the thrill of welcoming Cape Talk 567 AM, broadcasting live from our shop in Khayelitsha. The air buzzed with excitement, stories, and the sound of gears clicking into place

But the real showstopper? The ride. And oh, what a ride it was!
From Mitchell’s Plain to Khayelitsha: A Journey of Joy
Together with our friends at R Labs, we hit the streets for a ride that was nothing short of legendary. Starting in Mitchell’s Plain, cyclists made their way to Khaltsha Cycles, turning heads and spreading smiles along the route.
And guess who joined the fun?
Premier of the Western Cape, Mr Alan Richard Winde
Minister of Mobility, Mr Mbulelo Isaac Sileku
Yes, you read that right—leaders swapping suits for saddles, proving that cycling is for everyone.

For the community members who joined us, this wasn’t just a ride—it was a celebration. With laughter echoing through the streets and determination shining in their eyes, they showed that cycling is about freedom, confidence, and community. This ride was theirs, and they owned it. Along the way, we also spotted where new cycling signs have been placed—a small but powerful reminder that safer roads and better infrastructure are on the horizon. This wasn’t just the end of Transport Month—it was the beginning of something bigger. A movement. A community. A vision of streets filled with cyclists, laughter, and possibility. At Khaltsha Cycles, we believe every ride tells a story. And this one? It was unforgettable.

Here’s to more rides, more voices, and more unforgettable moments on the road ahead.
